  • Note: Martha Stone Cobb Daniel wrote the following about Adine Pearl Cobb and John Milner: "Seems our - Grandfather, Alex, had set quite a precedent in the field of law and justice, so who should arrive in Vernon fresh out of University Law School, but the dashing young John Cooper Milner from Elyton, whose Uncle, Colonel John T. Milner was the engineer who designed the City of Birmingham -- Young John soon met Adine Cobb, and as their courtship progressed, the sparks began to fly - still love won out and they were married when our beloved Dena was not yet fifteen - Pa Cobb refused to speak to Uncle Milner until after their first child was born - They enjoyed a happy marriage throughout many, many years and young at heart until their very last days."
