  • Anecdote: Before 1830; Priscilla Thornton; Fayette County, Alabama, USAB; Lewellen and Priscilla probably had two sons (one between 5 and 9 years; the other between 15 and 19) and three daughters (one between 10 and 14; the others between 15 and 19), when the 1830 census was taken. Daughter Agnes would have been 22 and is not accounted for in the Lewellen Moore household at that time and had presumably already left home. Lewellen also owned two slaves (one male under 10 and one female between 10 and 23), according to the census.20,17
