- Note: Heinz Richter, born around 1480, likely in Harsdorf, settled in Hetzelsdorf before 1527 and acquired House Number 23 by 1530. His property—leased from the patrician Harsdorf family of Nürnberg—spanned approximately 38 acres of fields, 4 acres of meadows, and 3.5 acres of woodland, making it larger than most farms in Upper Franconia. His estate was substantial and included a farmyard with a house, barn, and other farm buildings arranged around a central courtyard along the “common way.” As a tenant under a feudal arrangement, Heinz farmed the land in exchange for payments and services, despite not owning it outright. His estate would have supported diverse agriculture and livestock, with a central courtyard flanked by farm buildings. Though he lived through the Peasants’ War and the onset of the Protestant Reformation, there's no record of his direct involvement in the unrest. House Number 23, where he lived, still stands today and is visible on satellite imagery.
