- Note: Johann Zeisler (1662–1735) held the title of Lehenschultheiss (feudal magistrate) in Mittelehrenbach. In this capacity, he served as a representative of the Barons of Wiesenthau, overseeing local legal affairs and managing dues owed to the nobility. As a magistrate, Johann was a respected and influential figure in his community, likely playing a significant role in the rebuilding and stabilization of the region after the Thirty Years’ War.
Johann was known as “Hannbauernhans” (which means “chicken farmer Hans”). His father also went by this nickname, suggesting that it was most likely associated with a specific farm activity in which they were engaged.
