Other Information

• Note: In October 1942, Kunigunda (Gunda) Wolf began working as a “Schwesternhelferin” (assistant nurse) in the German Red Cross. After a two-week training course, she was assigned to a reserve hospital in Franzensbad (now Františkovy Lázně, Czech Republic), a renowned spa town in the German-annexed Sudetenland. There, she cared for wounded soldiers, assisted in rehabilitation, provided emotional support, and handled administrative duties. She remained in Franzensbad until May 1943, when she was transferred to a hospital in Waldsassen, Germany. In May 1944, she was reassigned to Forchheim, where she remained for the duration of the war.
