Arnulfo Reyes was born on 12 May 1924. Arnulfo Reyes served in the US Navy during WW2.2 He married Emma Montoya, daughter of Luis Montoya and Ricarda (?) [wife of Luis Montoya], on 18 February 1950.2 Arnulfo Reyes died on 7 May 2007 at Dona Ana, Dona Ana County, New Mexico, at age 82.2 He was buried on 11 May 2007 at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Las Cruces, Dona Ana County, New Mexico.2

ARNULFO CUARON REYES, 82, of Las Cruces entered eternal life Monday, May 7, 2007 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 5, 1924 in Doña Ana to Vicente and Apolonia Cuaron Reyes. Mr. Reyes served his country honorably in the United States Navy during World War II. On February 18, 1950 Arnulfo married Emma Montoya and together they started a family. Mr Reyes was a member of the Primera Iglesia Bautista where he was a deacon. He retired as a Refrigeration Mechanic from White Sands Missle Range after thirty-eight years of service. After retirement a group was formed in the community of Doña Ana headed by Arnulfo that addressed issues stemming from wives, chile to the weather. Members of this group included, Jerry Garcia, Elias Madrid, Steve LeDuc, Charlie Tharp, his brothers, Teodoro, Senon and Gregorio Reyes and his nephew Sammy Reyes.
Survivors include his wife of fifty-seven years, Emma Montoya Reyes of the family home; his children Arnold Reyes and wife Valerie of Rockwall, Texas, Ken Reyes of Anaheim Hills, California, Elizabeth Reyes of White Sand Missle Range, Dr. Luis Reyes of Doña Ana, Tim Reyes and wife Mari of Doña Ana, Roddy Reyes and wife Jodi of Phoenix, Arizona, and Lora Huerta and husband Dr. Sergio Huerta of Las Cruces; one sister, Eva Minjares of Alamogordo; four brothers, Roy Reyes and wife Annie of Salinas, California, Teodoro Reyes, Senon Reyes and wife Doris, and Gregorio Reyes and wife Marta all of Doña Ana. Other survivors include his grandchildren, Steven, Vicente, Nick, Rebecca, Alysse, Jacob, Lucas, Joel, Emma, Joy and Caleb; three great-grandchildren, Nicole, Fendi, and Sevon and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation for Mr. Reyes will held Thursday, May 10, 2007 from 7PM to 8PM in Baca's Chapel of Prayer, 300 E. Boutz Road. Family and Friends join together for the Funeral Service Friday May 8, 2007 at 10 AM in the First Baptist Church, 106 S. Miranda with Pastor James Underwood, officiating.
Concluding Service and Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 5140 W. Picacho Avenue, with military honors accorded by a Navy Honor Guard and the Marine Corps League-El Perro Diablo Detachment.
Serving as casket bearers will be his grandson, Steve Negron; his sons,Tim, Roddy, Arnold, Ken and Dr. Luis Reyes.
In lieu of flowers, donations be made to Children's Ministries of the Primera Iglesia Bautista, P.O. Box 321, Las Cruces, NM 88004.
Service arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Baca's Funeral Chapels, 300 E. Boutz Road. 527-2222.
