born about 1885, died 12 May 1955

Family: William Harvey McDILL (born 19 August 1881, died 24 April 1952)

Facts and Notes

  • Birth: About 1885; South Carolina, USAB1,2,3
  • Marriage: Between 1920 and 1930; William Harvey McDILL; In the 1930 census, William indicates that he was first married when he was 25 years old (which would have been about 1906) and Mae indicates she was first married when she was 15 years old (this would have been about 1900). When he registered for the draft in 1918, William listed his nearest relative as his aunt (Janie McDill), and in the 1920 census, he is residing with his aunt and lists his marital status as "single." If the census is correct, this would imply that both William and Mae were previously married. The Findagrave memorial for William identifies a spouse named "Mary Erhlich."2,4
