Note: In their book "McDills in America" Robert and Iva Woods state that the vessel that transported Hugh and Roxanna from Ireland was captured by a French privateer and all their goods were taken, including the Family Bible and all their records. They were finally landed at Baltimore, and from there went to northwestern Pennsylvania and settled in what was then Lycoming County, and afterwards designated as Wayne Township, Crawford County. Roxanna Stuart McDill, who was a very small woman, claimed that her family was descended in direct line from the Stuarts of Scotland, the records of which were lost when the vessel was captured by the French.
