• Note: I think his wife was probably Mary Banks Franklin who is buried next to him in Elmwood Cemetery, Alabama. According to the cemetery marker, she was born on April 20, 1917, and dies on 7 June, 1971. According to Alabama marriage records, Mary Banks Franklin was married in November 1938, but the record does not list her spouse. This Mary Franklin may also be the same the same Mary Banks Franklin (12) listed in the 1930 census as being in Tuskegee, Alabama, with her brother James J (10), mother Sara Franklin (38), and grandmother May C Breedlove (59).
  
  Jack Stone and his second wife (Anne) visited the house of Mary Jane and Rob Reyes in the mid-1990's. Jack's cousin, Dick Cobb, accompanied the couple and stated that Jack was a B-17 pilot during WW2. Mary Jane recalls that Jack enjoyed canoeing.
